I've gotten to where I have to brace myself for new information about political figures, so I am happily surprised each and every time I hear that he's done something unselfish that actually helps people.
Then, a stunner came last year: a Trump judge wrote a ruling saying nope, that's not allowed, only the DOJ can sue over VRA violations!
The ruling applies within the 7 states in the 8th Circuit (incl. MN) so far; voting rights groups are not appealing.
MN is first state in the 8th Circuit to bring back a private right of action.
