I live in a CA town with more registered Rs than Ds. Other places around us have flipped. Yet Harris has a strong lead here along with our D Rep. We'll see if Garvey does a little better than the MAGA types. He refused to say if he supported the Felon for months. His votes are ahead of the Felon.

Well, at the moment CD13 isn't too close. I don't think CD45 will end up *that* close when all is said and done, while I would guess CD13 will look more like CD45 does now. (Could be wrong.)

It looks as though the Repub (can't remember the name offhand) is up by 2,000 in CD 13. 28,000 left to count, looks like mostly in Merced County. The D and the R are so close in Merced... It's hard to believe there are 2,000 votes that the Dem can pick up among those left in that district.

Casting a vote is easy - drop it in the box. Curing a ballot is hard - circuit contacts the voter, returns the ballot with weird instructions; team members try to connect w/the voter to help as needed. With luck, the voter completes the correction & resubmits the ballot. All easier said than done.

Yep.. Mostly conditional registration. Los Angeles County, for instance. has 80,000 left to count, 55K are conditional registration. This page breaks down votes outstanding in CA:

These are mostly mail in/drop box ballots that have to go through an extensive, manual signature verification process. There are also a number of provisional ballots, mostly from people who were registering same day. These require a lot longer to process.

I'd estimate roughly 11K left in OC, & plus a much smaller batch of ballots in blue Los Angeles. (More Monday.)

GOP is sure to have the House majority; question is final margin. As of now, they've won or lead in 221 districts.

Dems: 213/214, Repubs 221/222. That includes Gaetz who has not yet resigned for the incoming Congress. We need a switch of 4-5 for Dems to take it. Also, a couple of Repubs who voted for trump's impeachment got re-elected though trump endorsed their opponents. So that's a good thing.
