But it includes the United States Bankruptcy Court for my district. That is a real problem. First, the way things are going a lot of people are going to need that court. And second, the bankruptcy court specifically defaulting on its lease is a very bad look for the federal government.

Air reserve base. They don't just have personnel and files they would need to move somewhere else. They have eight big-ass cargo jets. Would this also effect the national guard post there? Not sure (expect not), but that would be additional big ass planes if it did.

I see people saying "this is about terminating leases." Yes, but GSA is sometimes the lessor and sometimes the lessee. The agency leases 6,813 buildings, and owns another 1,798. You can't get to 7,500 without selling off a huge number of owned buildings (many are LPOAs & courts, not at issue here).

I haven’t reviewed what they’re saying here, but GSA also manages overseas building (OBO), and including those it’s a national security concern. Most communities don’t realize how much the Federal Gov props them up and this will hit them hard.

All I get - and this could be my poor media diet, I’m prepared to acknowledge I’m in the wrong - is two talking heads on podcasts, or links to commentary articles, saying “Trump said x which means y is going to happen, and he’s breaking the law!”
