I like the idea of free input text adventures like Zork a lot, but as many people will have spare keyboards lying around, bluetooth support in addition to an Ink keyboard could be cool?

The current microcontroller used in Ink Console (ESP32) has a WiFi module and a Bluetooth module, so that would be possible with the current specs

I don't know if a mini keyboard impresses me as much as a more full sized one. Bluetooth would of course work, but so would a dock that could charge it while offering a small keyboard, like a 75%?

Attachable also seems like it may be very unwieldy, but I appreciate the spirit for sure

slightly wacky idea, check the ergonomics of attaching mini keyboard to the *top* of the console instead of the bottom. weight hanging below the holding point may actually be easier to handle

I don't think it's a good idea. I think that one of the main features of this device is minimalist inputs. It's feels to me sort of like an opposite of normal gaming handhelds being "slow" and simple. Adding a keyboard dramatically increases the complexity and breaks the niche I see in this device.

Mixed feelings about this. It’s not an inappropriate idea for the concept. But with niche hardware, I want it to be like Playdate where the manufacturer sets out a clear vision for how the platform will work. You could make a bunch of accessories but it will muddy the vision and dent confidence.

Sure, but it feels like an accessory that I could source from lot's of places. How arduous would some sort of voice input be to implement? That is the sort of accessory to a product like this that would be additive. It seems very hard... but it would be cool.

Maybe in limited production for hardcore supporters? I love the idea of the Ink Console, but I'm probably not in the target audience for a Ink-specific keyboard if I can use other wireless ones.
