As an apology to the streamer for not being there for EVERY stream..
Nope!
The fact someone wants to be there listening to someones yapping is enough, anything beyond is a bonus.
The fact that people listen to me yap on the internet still truly surprises me to this day
Thanks to Twitch though, that watch streak feature makes people feel bad if they miss a stream. That thing needs to go away ASAP.
Some people aren't grateful even if they have 100k people watching.
Great words of wisdom!
But also don't forget that some of us express regret at missing or being late not because we're guilty but because we've missed out, and we enjoy seeing you. Ultimately those reactions are an expression of loyalty and enjoyment.
But I’ll NEVER expect someone to apologise for it, we kinda realise people have lives outside of watching twitch!
One more reason for that is some folks may find it hard(er) (all the time, or sometimes) to keep up with both chat and the game - and I may or may not be one of them.
I love folks who are in for a chat, but I also appreciate when they'd rather let me focus on the game. Either way, THANKS!
They’re not who this post is about.
But yeah, I've only met one streamer who called out someone for lurking
Lurkers are AWESOME People!
Not everyone wants to be social for a 4+ h stream!
That's why that situation was so surreal to me since I also lurk most of the time while doing other things.
Most communities I’ve seen (including my own) are very very welcoming!
Don’t be afraid to say hi!
