Got better because we sent a probe, duh. We got many facts incorrect with speculations from a telescope, some we still haven't figured out yet.
Space is actually expanding faster than the speed of light. Is it a joke?
It is about hypothetical planets and/or classification of astronomical objects. 🤔
so... be aware of the word "hypothetical" in science, it is an open door to speculations based on poor elements or theories far from any scientific consensus or solids proofs

The color enhancement is for scientists to better discern surface comp variations. “2018” was actually taken in 2015. Here is the true color version NASA put up.
Is this real? Cause if it is, then how can they say something that pretty out at the end of the solar system isn't a planet? It is better looking than Mars. Let's ditch Mars and keep Pluto. I don't care what the astronauts say, the little guy is a planet, and they better leave it alone.
BTW, you might like this. I'm not David Kipping, nor do I have any connection with him, but I found this nearlly 3-year-old video amazing! It's imagining what the first civiliation in our galazy might have been like.
Import thing to note on this… “2018” is also a 2015 photo digitally colored to study surface comp variations. This is the same picture, but in true color according to NASA.
Those with a dim view of the passing of time may fail to appreciate it's ability to elevate our perspective, adding clarity, color, and dimension to our existence.

I thought one reason Pluto was "unplaneted" was that its mass was so small that gravity wouldn't pull it into a spheroid shape? Doesn't appear to be the case...
Nice example of why science changes, our understanding evolves, knowledge grows is sometimes driven by measurement instrumentation. This is cool, even if a little mickey mouse :)
The last two images were taken by New Horizons space probe, which flew within 9,000 miles of the celestial body known as Pluto. Why can't we just make it a planet again? Because of "how it is," we would also have to name about 80 other celestial objects in our solar system as planets, too.
Unconfirmed reports are that in recent very high resolution photos of Pluto there appears to be a small formation on the surface resembling a middle finger with what looks like the initials “NDT” underneath.

Say hello to Eris, Haumea, Makemake, Gonggong, Quaoar, Ceres, Orcus, Sedna ... And certainly a lot of other undiscovered dwarf planets in our system 🤔
Do You ?
