Different phase because of multiple infections? Not sure I understand. I haven't seen that Covid builds immunity over time. Neither do the vaccines, unless there's some newer info I've missed. But multiple infections seem to increase risk of complications and severity.

Certainly we are in a different phase now with most having been infected or vaccinated multiple times. But the fact remains that most are skipping a booster when it could still reduce their risk of illness or LC. Since the vaccines have been proven safe and effective, this is not the best decision.

I'm getting a booster the next few days, my first since the initial series of 3. Do you know if missing boosters since will have any effect on the effectiveness of my next one?

I see no issue there. The most important factors are whether the booster appears to match well with current variants (it does), whether you have been infected in the past 90 days (assume you haven't), and an understanding that the boost is most effective over the next 90-120 days then wanes off.

Thank you. There is not a lot of information out there anymore, even though we are still in a pandemic, so I was wondering if there had been any recent data regarding efficacy in this scenario.

I wish my grandkids' pediatrician would pay attention to this kind of study. He said they did not need any more boosters. So, I worry.
