Poilievre needs to be pressed constantly on these issues. When it comes to it, he will not support Ukraine or put up committed resistance to Trump. Canadian conservatives want many of the same things as Trump, they just want to be the ones in charge.

Not all Poilievre supporters are far right. That's very true. But just like the US and Europe, many are, and those who are not extreme are sympathetic enough to put their lot in with a radical core that includes conspiracy theorists, Nazis, racists, MAGA, and Putin fans. That's how power is gained.
