Turnout DEFINITELY decides elections. When only 50% vote like in the US, a 30% minority turns into a 60% supermajority. And you end up with Donald Trump.

I wish voting by mail was a reliable option, but Canada Post has lost so much of my mail in recent years that I just don't trust them to do their job. We're voting in person at an advanced poll instead.

I mean, good grief, this winter Canada Post lost our XC ski passes for Gatineau Park and the NCC told me they lost hundreds of other skiers' passes, too. All had to be re-printed for in-person pick-up instead. I would hate to trust them with my vote, especially since they is no proof it arrived.
