I don’t believe in any rule of thumb that prevents democrats from calling out such a massive threat to governance. There will always be a chunk of the population that can’t be persuaded. Imo that’s not a good reason to downplay the current situation by talking about eggs

It's a fairly basic reprogramming tactic: before you can convince a cult member that their leader will betray them, you first have to prove to them that they have been betrayed.

Until they believe they have been betrayed by their leader, they'll never believe he will betray them.

Dems don’t need to win over the “cult members,” they need to win over non voters and swing voters.

The other problem with the egg price thing is that I assume the price is pretty likely to fall in the next couple years, no credit to trump but he’ll surely try to take it. Waste of time imo

How many times have we heard the "both sides are the same crowd" lament about losing their mom to MAGA?

"Both sides" is a GOP crafted talking point used to turn a policy debate into a choice of court control.

I grew up hearing it.
