Remember that Republicans in Congress could stop a great deal of what is happening. We know from history: Fascism does not thrive where there is not complicit conservatism. There is a tacit acceptance among us that Republicans will do nothing. We should still hold them accountable.

As i see mass protests occurring in Turkey and Serbia to attempt to stop growing authoritarianism, i can't understand why you are letting democrats off the hook like this. they can, and should, play a larger role in society than a single vote in congress.

As someone on the outside of the US, it is absolutely amazing how indifferent you and others appear to be. The US is already not a liberal democracy anymore. hoping the courts and midterm elections will save you is wild - you can't fix the damage that is already done, let alone the next year.

And to your other point, we do have Democrats holding town halls, rallies. We're winning special elections, winning court cases.

But we cannot issue subpoenas or even hold investigations, let alone impeach - without Republicans joining us.

the rallies by Bernie and AOC are a good start. So are the town halls. those are actual leaders, unlike the rest of the dems in congress and the senate.

I agree. But calling their office and saying things like "I know you claim to be an alpha male, but you're cuckholding yourself to a 78 year old who doesn't know where he is half of the time and frankly, I'm embarrassed for you" is actually quite cathartic.

He's recently made this same comment so many times, you start to realize perhaps this is not a LIE to defend himself...he really has NO IDEA WHAT IS GOING ON. He is in LaLa land.
