I’d stayed late at school, in Brooklyn, to wrap up a project, then went back to a friend’s apartment in Manhattan for drinks and pizza. I lost track of time and whoops, 2 a.m. I was notttt looking forward to taking the PATH back to Jersey, but what can ya do 2/12
I left my friend’s apartment and strode for the subway 3 blocks away. I’d taken this route many times. I wasn’t scared at all. That was a mistake. 3/12
They were ribbing each other, loud, probably drunk, and whistling and making kissy noises at me. I ignored them. I picked up the pace. So did they. 5/12
