I see the ‘hand’ of ‘head, heart & hand’ has become ‘creative problem solvers’, as if solving problems doesn’t involve the head. Tells you all you need to know about empty slogans in education.

Can't read the article, but I always find it highly offensive when a knowledge-rich curriculum is derided as soulless brain work, as if committing yourself to dedicated study of academic disciplines doesn't involve a deep commitment of the heart and an openness to changing how you see the world.

I’m so sick of vibes & ‘well that sounds nice & neat & future focused’ driving things in education. Stop making evidence-free assertions & look instead at what we know works.
