Funny enough I had to watch this entire thing with my parents while staying in a hotel and my very liberal mother didn’t even want to talk about it, while my apolitical dad was baffled hearing they planted the pagers years ago, & said “well they seem crazy, and why are they dressed like terrorists?”

"sane washing"? CNN's coverage of Trump is dogshit, people are right to be upset about it and criticize it. I think 60 Minutes running an informerial for a US-backed terrorist attack is worse and yet there isn't 1/1000th the outrage because partisanship drives media, and thus most media criticism

I’m not even opposed to granting them anonymity per se—almost certainly the only way they could talk on TV—but like I say it was just them boasting about what a great job they did. It’s like giving John Kirby anonymity to describe successful US air strikes.
