MLK spent his days on MV writing in the morning and enjoying afternoons at the beach. Along similar lines, I had a thoughtful and restful weekend with my family. I spent most of my time offline and definitely away from the news. (2/5)

As an endurance athlete, it strikes me that my most successful race was one in which I mostly ignored the pace groups and I executed my own plan. I started more slowly and eased into my own pace. I saved my energy at the beginning of the race so that I could ensure a strong finish. (3/5)

Navigating the Trump administration is an endurance event. My overall plan is to ignore a lot of the chaos and noise now to focus on how to best execute my own plan and serve the communities that are most vulnerable to attack. (4/5)

And some of that is to work quietly and out of the spotlight (not that I'm in the spotlight). I hope that those of you working on diversity and other key issues are resting, thinking, and planning for the road ahead. It's going to be a long 4+ years, but there will be opportunities. (5/5) #DEI 🧬🧠
