To change do in stages
1st) any Lord or baroness who is not living in this country and paying income tax have their titles removed.
2) no more Hereditary titles in the lords.
3) no clergy of any religion.

Problem is, if you try it all at once, they will gang together to keep their privileges.So remover the people who do not pay tax, which party is going to argue with that.Then the Hereditary ones go, can you see the Tories push to bring them back.I think the lesson for the R/W is happening in the USA

Prorogation is the period between the end of a parliamentary session of Parliament and the beginning of a new session (which is State Opening of Parliament).By current practice, Parliament is prorogued by commissioners acting in the sovereign's name. Parliament is always prorogued to a definite day.

Is that why the Supreme Court ruled unanimously in R (Miller) v The Prime Minister and Cherry v Advocate General for Scotland that the prorogation was unlawful, ordering prorogation was quashed? It was a fascist takeover.
