Yes, it most certainly is. My theory is, they don’t want to fix it and instead want you yo use their products to get distracted.
I find it amazing the MLM ads, oh yeah, they would pay because that’s how bad IG is, a convention center flea market is classier
Btw their TOS is written like a 12 year old, so they can go back and rewrite it. And on top of that their own support center is soooooooooooo bad they want to discourage you from using it.
Just protect yourself from here on out
Even worse than bluebird app? Both are terrible, I know, but bluebird app is a special kind of soul-crushing awful I don't wish on any human, let alone an artist... how can Instagram's awfulness even compete with that? (genuine curiosity, not downplaying IG's nastiness)
The algorithm is horrible and it’s basically become a second TikTok, because it prioritizes Reels over images. I hate that YouTube did this crap as well with Shorts. Not every big platform needs to be another ShitTok.
I legit hate how whenever I stumble across an art piece that I like on there, I have to spend an hour or so looking for the actual artist because Instagram is filled with a bunch of accounts who just repost artwork without giving credit.
Lmao only the same 20-30 people, mostly folks I know personally, are the only ones who see my posts. Been like this for over a year. The only notifications I get from outside this group are from bots interacting with my posts 🙃
Any resource that becomes easily accessible and popular is immediately overrun by crowds of idiots with loudspeakers, stolen but declared as original content, bots, and a crazy amount of ads/paid services
For reallll, i was on there a couple years ago and regularly got around 20-30 likes which like isnt crazy but i could tell as soon as they fucked the algorithm because i instantly started getting like 5-6 likes on a good day

Just a wasteland of stolen artwork.
But why exactly though ? What's making it the worst ?

And the initial idea is quickly rotting away
