I mean 'cause they're usually depicted as shapeshifters but I think the idea it's just wearing the thing is neat.

I'm glad you were excited! My thing is that they're a bit of both. They find wrecked items wear them. Then shift to match the object. But if the object has big enough missing parts, they have to guess and get it a little wrong.
There’s just something about this color palette from the muted blue tones, that tasty goldenrod, and the vibrant splash of magenta… I’ve got to figure out something to draw where I can play around with this🤔
