I use two tubes where one just fits inside the other, or make them from folders. Put the pinhole at the end of one, the wax paper at the end of the other that goes into the first, but leave it movable. You then have a pinhole microscope/telescope with adjustable magnification.

Lots of the toys I’ve made are versions of things you can buy in shops. Making your own means you save money and produce less waste. The pinhole camera is still one of my favourite teaching activities. I like to get students to model how the image is formed using ray boxes. As I used in this video to explain how they work:
