My take is that he never gets offered a job in the premier league again, football has evolved and he hasn't and can't, that was the worst football if you can call it that, that I have witnessed not only at goodison but during my time on this mortal coil it's just so negative

Doing this for a clean slate just seems so ill-advised. They had probably the best man available to keep them up, and that's all that should matter at this point. Even if they didn't score a single goal for the remainder.

Then start with a clean slate in the summer.

Ok well maybe they need a couple of wins so a couple of goals. But that's fine, they play all the promoted teams at home and should get McNeil back soon.
