We run the risk of alienating that person, an souring them on the whole...
I understand the push back about generative AI art. But can we possibly leave that battle where it belongs for now? Fought at the gates of the ones who created and coded the program and not laying our grievances at the feet of the end user just trying to do what they can to feel a part..
We need all the energy we can muster to interject new life into this entropic system if we want to kick start it's heart. And we can't afford to drive away EVEN ONE SINGLE person who has begun to figure out how to exist in whatever revolution we are starting.

If you do feel called to offer guidance, do so. But true guidance does not scold or embarrass or make an example of in public, offering up chances to pile on from others with pent up systemic rage looking for the closest target.

Offer them solutions and let them naturally gravitate towards them instead of directly attacking them

And that's because I do get why the use of AI in these instances are...incorrect.
So this is not a post on the defence of their use, only a call for grace in public for the
