Got mine in the meantime, most interesting part for me were the details about contract negotiations, that's something you normally don't hear much about. By the way, Gerry Griffin strictly denies the new Shuttle numeration he invented had anything to do with supersticion and 13.😉

That's interesting to hear about Gerry. I never spoke with him personally about it, of course. That was just what I heard. And I would not blame him if he had been superstitious.

He told me his idea was to put all possible information into the designation, like position in the launch calender and launch site. But he admitted with a smile that it was probably not the best of his ideas.
