I always realized one key advantage of tDCS is that the technology can be made really cheap. But didnt realize it could even be disposable systems. Fascinating exploration by Marom Bikson.

That's a good point... The problem is that it really does not work. None of the early studies replicate. They were based on tiny samples with impossible large effect sizes. Give me one tDCS study that reliably replicate across labs in large sample sizes....
Agreed effect sizes are super small (if any). But there still may be some way to make use of it that we haven’t figured out yet. And it’s a cool precondition that it’s cheap stuff (compared to TMS & FUS).
(Maybe to justify, was surprised by our own results in a network tDCS trial, fully expecting negative results. Still small N but convinced me to follow up and running an at home trial now. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39051611/)
