I think you are confusing sarcastic humor with actual work practices. Neither myself or any of my staff would ever use language like that. The job of IT is to enable the staff of the company to do their job in the most safe and efficient manner. All changes are explained, as often as needed.

The point is still valid, even if it doesn’t apply to you in particular. All to many it people don’t really enjoy talking to people. Talking to people is more efficient than introducing systems to enforce behavior every time. Intune and jamf, I am looking at you.
