Those of us who’ve been gaming a long time… If gaming really does become too expensive to be sustainable for you, maybe NOW is the time to hit that backlog! Just saying ✅📋

Wonder if maybe it’s time to reflect on the fact that *having* an extensive backlog is probably an indication that gaming has been underpriced for some time…
I wouldnt say they were underpriced at all 💀💀 people already couldnt afford games before this especially nintendo ones which is why ppl love other providers like Steam and theyre always racking in the bucks cuz games r always on sale there
I get what you’re saying, but the idea of games being underpriced is that compared to the past, the price of them has not kept up with inflation or with increasing development costs. IT IS an expensive hobby, yes, but the products themselves have been cheaper than they could’ve been for a long time
But ppl dont follow through with their complaints nd protest with their money especially in the gaming world nd still buy in mass anyway (see Pokemon sales for literal unfinished games at launch) sooooo
I think a part of that though is the casual audience who don’t follow the gaming news as closely buying stuff up. Gamers for SURE don’t have self restraint 😂 Things are about to get crazy
Ppl could hv backlogs for all kinds of reasons: sales, gifts, giveaways, inheritance from friends and family, thrifting, no time to play, piracy, straight up stealing, borrowing, renting, or they could actually afford to buy every game theyve ever wanted at launch (rare), or a mix of all the above
