I had a spell of painless ocular migraines in my 30s - out of nowhere I would suddenly become aware of a small piece of (what I can only describe as) flashing barbed wire right at the very top part of the field of vision in one eye and which would slide down and then eventually fade away. All v odd.

Lucky you just have the aura and not the pain that usually follows. It is such a strange sensation though I agree. Once had my brain basically do the same thing right before a migraine. That was even scarier.😩

This is the second post about someone I'm following having an ocular migraine within less than 24 hours. I wonder if they're becoming more common. Glad that you're ok. (I used to get them, too, and they are interesting to look at but sure make it difficult to see anything else.)

I usually get about 2 a year. This year this is I think my third. It's the weirdest thing. No obvious trigger. It's like the brain says "Here, you need this trip. Let's go."
