We need to write more queer characters as strong, independent people. I usually see that whenever an LGBT character is represented, they fall into some offensive stereotype where gay men can't be strong,

and need to look effeminate and weak. In fact, I haven't seen a queer man representing the bara archetype anywhere, which is totally wasted, since the queer male community looks for the husbando of the moment who can represent them. Although unfortunately he is always heterosexual.
In fact, bara is the only Japanese genre that I like because it doesn't stereotype sexuality and presents it for queer men in general. I just want to see more sexist, muscular, intelligent, and misogynistic gay guys.
