On Jan. 20th, hoping the rest of the world understands we need them to stand with us fighting against this undemocratic madness that Trump and his cult will bring.

I think at this point, the rest of the world will recognize the US is facing a generation of chaos, with swings back & forth each election. We can expect a reorganization of our closest allies/partners to stand more with each other than with us. The first time was an anomaly, now there's a pattern.
From the 20th of January for me the us will stop existing. They will from then on be the most dangerous hellhole on earth and I won't forgive, nor forget. Germany is still being blamed for ww2, in my lifetime us won't be forgiven.
It's a strange position to be in, because the world must both stand with the democratic and decent side of the USA, and also be ready to stand together in opposition to the USA. With some of the threats Trump has made regarding NATO for instance, Europe must be ready.
Yes. Thinking Europe knows if the US falls or becomes a danger, they may be next. Looking at the far right in the UK, all being encouraged and advised by Steve Bannon, and the far right in some of Europe and it's quite scary.
Hope the EU gets as mad as we are - and responds.
The situation in the UK is quite bizarre. A Labour government, running on a fairly solidly conservative platform. It disgusts me, and is a perfect example of the march to the right.
Worse; the newer extreme right governments in Europe. Ukraine is currently gatekeeping the safety of all of Europe.
Like you, I'm worried at the state of the world today.
The so-called democracies - the perennial beacons of light - are falling off the deep end.
How anyone can say we democratic countries should not support Ukraine "with everything we've got" is mind-boggling.
Labour goess right; US votes Trump😡.
