This is pretty straightforward. Readers need to know about you and your book. Repetition will be key for this as we need to see a name or title or cover a lot of times to remember them. Once a reader is at this stage they might follow you on socials. 2/?
To be clear this doesn’t necessarily mean they need to like you as a person (though it doesn’t hurt). For books something about your book needs to appeal to them. That could be the genre, a trope, a character or setting. So here dive deeper than only repetition of title/cover. 3/?
Readers need to trust that you and your book will deliver the reading experience they’re looking for.
There’s lots of ways of doing this but can include: snippets, talking about your characters, talking about your reading taste and comps for the book. 4/?
