Netflix has thrown “Sesame Street” a safety net with a new streaming deal that offers the popular children’s staple a broad reach while keeping it on its long-standing home, PBS, the companies announced.

Generally speaking, the revenue they bring in vs the costs associated with producing it is razor thin if not existent. Netflix most likely did this as PR to help shore up subscriptions which has been on the decline for a while.

They have incredibly valuable IP if they ran like Disney would make billions every year

Sesame Street IP is worth Billions of dollars
