Your bio says "profit is criminal", & "religion is stupidity"... so I wonder if you accept, support, & or participate in the oppression of other individuals in other species who have a brain & pain receptors ?
What does "not making the universe" or "getting by" have to do with your cruel & unnecessary decisions that require other feeling individuals to be victimized?
"Our actions should be based on the ever-present awareness that human beings in their thinking, feeling, and acting are not free but are just as causally bound as the stars in their motion ."
Joe, are you saying that humans don't have free-will over deciding to eat a steak cut from a cow vs a vegan Beyond Burger?
Is it just fate that you're not a MAGA/Trump supporter, or does your critical thinking reject these?
Genuinely would like to understand your attitude towards your own agency ❤️
And every once in awhile I get one of those parents who say "I teach my kids where their food comes from" to which I reply: "Great! so you're raising a little sociopath. Congratulations!"
Lack of ethics in factory farming aside, do you have a point? Livestock has been bred for centuries to have certain traits that make survival in the wild difficult. And other predator species don’t care about killing painlessly in the same way humans do.
So far, in 2024, nearly 1.5 million farmed animals have died in barn fires, according to data compiled by the Animal Welfare Institute (AWI), a US nonprofit organization.
..workers remove the birds and shackle them upside down by their feet during a process known as live-shackle slaughter. Many birds flap their wings in terror and endure broken bones and other injuries in this process.
Gut-wrenching footage of Butterball slaughterhouse workers torturing and sexually abusing turkeys has sparked outrage just before Thanksgiving as news of the horrific acts resurfaced on social media.
We are paying already....most just don't like to acknowledge it. The reason for this vulture decline was a drug they gave livestock..which was poisonous to vultures.
'more than two decades ago, India’s vultures began dying because of a drug used to treat sick cows.
So mesmerized with that 'big brained supremo species WITH DOMINION' idea.
They remind me of the Black Knight in the Monty Python movie...he's getting hacked to bits until he's just a head bouncing around on the ground and still won't admit defeat.
There is.....we are already paying for this in so many ways...and increasingly it's going to be lethal viruses...like H5N1 which began on a goose farm...and has a 52% mortality rate in
US bird flu outbreak: millions of birds culled in ‘most inhumane way available’
The US poultry industry has increasingly switched to “the most inhumane method available” to cull tens of millions of birds during the latest outbreak of avian influenza
Lack of ethics in factory farms aside???? That's their entire 'life'. Neither the hell is the killing 'painless'. Nor is the trip to the slaugterhouse pleasant.
More than 20 million farm animals die on way to abattoir in US every year
The point is that because something has always been done doesn't morally justify the actions in the present and the future. The difference between other predators and humans is we have moral agency and the ability to tell right from wrong. Needlessly inflicting harm and suffering is wrong.
This is by no means me being argumentative. Just sharing my beliefs. While I respect veganism, I don’t subscribe. However, I personally believe the meat consumption in America should be rolled back due to the fact that is every other country consumed protein like us, our ecosystem would collapse.
Half the water in the USA is being used for animal ag..while you got the Colorado River 'crisis', Great Salt Lake drying up, and people in California going to pay $$ to recycle toilet water to drink while livestock and alfalfa get the good stuff, to name a few.
If the atrocities are as bad or worse, as most of us know, there shouldn’t be a need to criminalize. Changed minds is the best way to move forward. Forcing it will just ensure there’s a backlash to the backlash. Which would have the opposite outcome desired.
That’s too absolutist an opinion, don’t you think? The majority of humans don’t care because they’ve been shielded from the truth. Truth can really be powerful in terms of widespread societal change. Change can’t happen overnight. I wish it could.

There's nothing unhinged about being disgusted by people who do harm other animals
If you realize you're hurting someone else, & you have integrity, you stop hurting them

That's where most of his support comes from.
Someone who was killed against their will, & had a brain & pain receptors, giving them the ability to feel fear, pain, panic, & suffering
No one deserves to be victimized

Just like your flesh is meat
Would it be cool with you if a cannibal murdered your most innocent loved one to "get the meat out of them"?

Vegan means you don't make choices that require other feeling species to be victimized
The reality is even darker & more horrific than many could imagine 💔
Normalized oppression & cruelty should definitely be punished
Consider everything from the perspective of the victims
