I'm still masking when I go out in public unless we're at the beach. As a vulnerable person, I'm on my own. Nobody else gives a fuck if I live or die -- including the "vaxxed and relaxed" Democrat crowd.
Our whole fam hasn’t stopped masking either (it’s lonely and isolating). They do it for their autoimmune riddled mom/wife (me), and because they care about their health and others. And they understand infections increase long COVID risk. Solidarity from afar.
Thanks! I was exposed to PFAS as a child and have suffered with an altered immune response ever since then. I wish my daughter and grandsons were better about masking at work, but their jobs are physical in nature and it gets hard to breathe with them on sometimes - 2 of them have asthma.
I try not to say anything because it causes tension and stress, but sometimes it really pisses me off. We've had covid 4 times now -- they bring it home from work. Riding them about it isn't worth the hassle. They're all adults. I can't make them do anything.

Oh so sad on the PFAS…. My friend passed away from its implications. Amara’s Law in Minnesota was named in her memory. Her whole family has testified here in MN and in D.C. Damn 3M for knowing about its dangers and carrying on with business as usual 😢
The military, when they finally acknowledged the damage PFAS caused, announced they would treat vets affected by it, but told their families, "Notify your doctor of your exposure." No help, no acknowledgment of our suffering -- just tell the doc why your body is so fucked up.
I don't, either. The vax rate in my county has been holding steady at 34% for 3 fucking years. The churches here brag about never closing their doors, not even during the worst part of the pandemic. I wish Darwin would hurry TF up.
