Have you tried a color palette generator? I find them super helpful to find the *right* contrast for what i'm working. Adobe's is actually free: https://color.adobe.com/create/color-wheel

Using complementary color usually helps! So because pinkish/purplish colors are the colors of this caracter, u could use some green! For exemple, the brown parts could be in a more greenish tint, or u coul add green details in the eyes. Those are just exemple!

Sometimes, when struggling with something that has to do with drawing i like to go over the top with the tryouts, like use super saturated colors, or do things that would seems weird or ugly. But it can make me understand why it's weird/ugly or why it's actually not.

Maybe u can add some greens or blues to the inside of the cloth behind their legs, or maybe to the clothes under their armor
If that doesn't work u can try adding some accents to the clothes, like some lines and patterns with the color u prefer

Maybe a some blues or purples! I always have purple and maroon together it’s a killer combo!
