Scalpers trying to milk gamblers. Like I worked with a manager at GameStop who would buy Pokemon all the time to try and get valuable cards to fund his cocaine addiction. It's really sad that, that's what it has turned into post covid.

Reminds me of when box stores in America had to keep the boxes behind a counter and limit it to one per customer because people stole so often and scalpers sold boxes for so much money. Now the targets and Walmarts don’t really carry any cards of any kind

they still sell cards at Target here. they put the card section right near the loss prevention office. they also sell cards in machines in some grocery stores. they are often sold out, but it's harder for a single person to buy up all the cards.
