Two disgusting things there: first is clearly the private jets, but also £20 is an absolutely absurdly high price for a 40-minute train journey. No wonder most people drive instead despite the convenience of the train.

I don't think most people drive from Farnborough to London. You'd spend most of your time stuck in a traffic jam on the M3 or the A4. Then you'd have to pay for parking and, probably, the congestion charge. Train looks a bargain in comparison.

Crazy. Trains from here take 1hr and cost £50 day return (if you can’t use railcard), or about £16 if going off-peak. No wonder we get so many noisy helicopters flitting over our heads! And private planes are a really noisy nuisance all through the summer.
