have a walk before going to bed, even if just in your room, if possible in the dark, just think happy things while you walk around then when you lay down you will dream of those happy things instead of whatever is bothering you
Ok so when I was a kid I was constantly having nightmares, and I learnt to lucid dream so that I could change them. It's the only thing that worked for me
The only reliable anti-nightmare I've had is overwhelming them. Usually by being so invested in a media (book or game, it's never been a movie/TV show that I can recall) that my imagination is fixated on that for a couple of days
I had a lot of stressful dreams after I moved last month too, but they eventually went away. I think nightmares happen more often when you're stressed, but they'll eventually stop.
A consistent bedtime routine helps, I find. I always take my time flossing and brushing my teeth before bed to let my brain wind down, then read actual physical books (no screens) until I get super drowsy and fall asleep. I barely ever have dreams I remember now.
