Sooooo I read the membership policy for that library and it says YOU CANT CREATE DERIVATIVE WORKS of works you check out???? I really hope this doesn’t also include transformative works. no fan fic? No fan art? No fan vids, crit vids, etc? I hope I’m reading this wrong. @transformativeworks.org

My guess is this is a reflection of the legal gray area of fanfic/fan work and specifically US law around these things, given QLL is a US-based org for US-based users. You can read some about it here:

Thank you, I am working on moving to https://libro.fm but entropy rules these days.
I used my library for books on cd or digital player when I can’t get things on Libby, have been encouraging friends and family to get/use library cards, but this was a timely and welcomed reminder to get going!
