Thankyou!! It's mostly just cross hatching ontop to create more shape and shading (and a nice crunchy brush to hold up the entire thing LOL)

It is so good to have a name to it so now I can find tutorials. I always just typed in texture painting and found different results. LOL

Yee! Hatching, or cross hatching, is just those little scratchy extra lines that create shading/gradient/texture. They're very fun to use and play with. Brings out my inner 10 year old playing with colored pencils.
