Please don't try to be too much. Most software becomes bloated by trying to reinvent themselves (Slack, Dropbox, Zoom lately, ...). Focus on what made you amazing in the first place.
Function calling for AI. Let me explain: I have ChatGPT workflow to add words to my flashcards app via API. As a result I have completed flashcard to review and learn.
Another use case would be calendar or reminders. I want to ask what I do tomorrow and if I’m free at 7 pm then add an event.
What I sometimes do right now to create events in my calendar: I compose query from my laptop (I have snippet). I copy this and input to my iPhone’s spotlight. From there it process it as NLP prompting to add to calendar.
This is just an example, there can be so much more
Raycast already has a lot of working extensions and integrations so this can be leveraged by function calling. I have a chat, maybe let’s summarise it and ask it to add to notes. Action point to add to reminders
Also this would be nice to have such functionality from iOS
In all honesty - Raycast is a great, but I feel like AI has been the main focus lately and as someone who isn't interested in the AI features (more below) I'd really like more focus on other features.
LLMs are useful tools, but LLM subscriptions tend to be expensive and subscribing within Raycast limits you to using LLM based tooling only within Raycast. I also don't get a huge advantage over using another app from the LLM provider. Especially when creating a project with a token is cheaper.
(By expensive I mean for a subscription, 8-20$ for a single subscription which is what you'd pay for something like Netflix and possibly needing multiple to access LLMs in more than one place doesn't feel appealing personally. It's not objectively expensive but feels hard to justify)
Personally what I'd find useful is more first party plugins - it's hard to evaluate whether you can trust third party plugins with your credentials or access to your system (even if reviewed by you or myself) and first party plugins have less of an issue there.
Currently I have two:
1. Move screenshots older than 2 weeks from my screenshots folder into trash once a day
2. Make a backup of my config files to iCloud with mackup once per week
I used to have more though. E.g. upload some notes to a repo every night until I switched to Notion.
Support for virtuell Desktops in Window Management Layouts.
When i only work on my Notebook, i use a virtuell Desktop as "Second Screen". I move Apps like Things, Teams... to this Screen.
I'm looking forward to the iOS app so I can use all the AI features on my phone (instead of the ChatGPT app).
Supporting AI voice features (I'm thinking of the ChatGPT one could be amazing too).
All things voice activated and speech to text / transcription. The accessibility use cases are a no brainer but the gamer me got hooked on voice attack and now all I can think of is scripted / dynamically learned voice prompts. SIRI != ideal for this, Echo far outshines
A place to store snippets of text and use them as needed later on with the magic of AI, for example. The extensions would be called “Actions” in that scenario.

Here the window is a hyper augmented with https://github.com/pomdtr/hyper-sunbeam to behave like a launcher.
