Blanket statements remain reductive and problematic, but I can think of examples where this applies.
Many are white conservatives who begin sentences with, “I’m not racist…but…”

Unfortunately, when the hypothesis holds true more times than not, it's easy to take that reductive shortcut.
This "standing on the street corner" proclaiming their righteousness, isn't even biblical.
