Italian, Spanish and French trains are all superb.

If you'd said that 30 years ago to a German that they'd get beaten by Italian and Spanish reasons they'd have lost it so much they'd have a third go at the world championship

The same goes for Spain. But 30 years ago both countries’ train systems were broken. It’s taken this long (and a lot of money) to fix them. That’s a sobering thought for the UK.

Fun fact, the Swiss stopped German long distance trains from coming across the border because they were fucking up the immaculate Swiss rail timetable
