Any time Gus Johnson mentions analytics you should cover your ears. He hates the idea of analytics more than any announcer I think.

Northwestern (at least pre-Barnhizer injury) was approaching offense similarly -- a lot of 2 pointers, because that's what Barnhizer/Martinelli can do. Kinda cool to see teams try different things.

Yes. Pitino is so far from “anti-analytics,” it’s just that they shoot poorly. They’re still taking 20+ 3s, bc he knows they’ll need to bump up that percentage to make a run in march

Analytics is not geography, it’s analysis of how valuable shots are. If you can hit 50% from 17 feet and 28% from 24 feet, take the 17 footers.

Good point, UConn built a big lead early with St John’s taking bad shots early, then the Red Storm settled in. St. John’s in-bounds plays were excellent as well. Seems like they got open shots every single time especially that last one with RJ Luis.
