Literally. LITERALLY Like. I guess it serves functional purpose. A full suit of armor would undoubtedly get extremely warm with intense physical exertion (such as fighting). So obviously he needs that because he'd be really hot and sweaty and uh . I need to go do something. Alone

i would literally put my entire face right into the crook of his pit and inhale like it's my own personal oxygen . specifically after his battles . i don't even like arm pits
