I just reread it to have it fresh in my memory (& hopefully also to write a column about it, but first this thread!)
Everyone prizes skincare because skin damage is associated with illness. So her job is very much in demand.
There are also some speculative kinds of membrane, including in the beauty treatments.
It really brought to my mind Hungary in the early nineties too, a huge amount of social upheaval, but also unprecedented openness.
