For folks in the North saying it isnβt real, it was visible multiple times that far south over the last year during Solar Maximum. Iβm further south in New Mexico and got these shots myself. This shot is just west of Albuquerque, NM right off highway 550.
Old Eskimo: The sky is a great dome in which there is a hole. On nights like these, those who live in the heavens light torches to guide the feet of the spirits of those who must pass from earth to the heavens. This is the light you call the aurora.
Only the spirits of those who have passed before their time, the children, travel on nights as brilliant as this. Though sometimes when the lights are brilliant, this is a warning from the heavens.
The aurora borealis was visible in some parts of North America on Oct. 10, 2024, including in central Arizona and the Phoenix area during the solar maximum.
I caught them very vividly in Oklahoma, and I'm farther south than Monument Valley. You're welcome to check my youtube channel for the time lapse(s) I caught. https://youtu.be/0TRw8bKaLuQ I was up and watching, taking time lapses with several cameras. I would have loved to catch it with MV background!
I think the original photographer of this image should be credited! Itβs the 4th time Iβve seen the same image posted by a different account without credit

It did happen. The aurora borealis was visible in some parts of North America on Oct. 10, 2024, including in central Arizona and the Phoenix area during the solar maximum. I donβt believe it has occurred since but that doesnβt mean it wonβt again.
Totally fake. Aurora is rarely seen that far south, and that view is looking south, not north. Nature is amazing without AI enhancement. Please keep it real.
The aurora borealis was visible in some parts of North America on Oct. 10, 2024, including in central Arizona and the Phoenix area during the solar maximum. I donβt believe it has occurred since but that doesnβt mean it wonβt again. Itβs well documented.
