It was uneven. When you look at workers with college and professional degrees you see them doing quite well. It was not good for the median American who lacks a college degree.

That’s the materialist view of it, and there is something to it. But the most prominent feature of Trump support is cultural animus towards various groups.
I agree with my view being very materialistic. I also would argue that the view of a lot of American voters is moronic. Look at Trump support among American farmers.
