That’s even worse. They don’t learn how to turn information into action. They only learn how to comment on social media and scream at their friends/family.

that is an issue ive noticed, so social medias other than bluesky should encourage people to see what can be done
i definitely know twitter is guilty of liking a tweet to 100k that says something like "Man poverty should end in Africa" and then we forget about the tweet in 5 seconds and did nothing
True, not every kid will be a leader like the ones I pointed out, but the effectiveness of these leaders is very much based on the fact that the 'hobbiest' ones you dismiss give the leaders their weight.
A 'like' is cheap, easy, and light. 500M likes gets you listened to by policy makers.

Dunno, seems like they can and sometimes are very effective.
They are taking politics as an action. Others are just entertaining politics as a hobby.
