Hi Cheryl, I’m in my final year of SLT study at age 60 so from where I’m standing, you are a whippersnapper 😁 Don’t underestimate the great insights that your life experience gives you and the enormous range of settings you could find work in. You’re so nearly there now, please don’t lose heart ❤️ ❤️

Can’t speak from personal experience. I qualified at 21 but work alongside a number of people who chose SLT as a second career. What I notice is an ability to bring life experience and a different perspective having worked in other industries. This can be really valuable. Play to your strengths 😃

I graduated at 30 and feel life experience was really useful in finding employment, getting started in the job, and later career progression. I also had a classmate in her early 40s who found a job quickly. Good luck!
