Hmmm - good question! Both Sian and myself have written novels responding to medieval writing (me: MK and JoN, Sian: the Pearl poem) so I imagine it will focus on the way that medieval writing (esp by/about women) is still being imaginatively engaged with by readers and writers today.

Ah, so many! Their mystical visions of course, but also the way they tried to make space for themselves as female mystics - in a society that was mostly hostile to the idea of women as visionaries. Such brilliant women!
