I think a lot of millennials didn't get a huge amount of education on the basics of being an adult. We were all being prepared for going to college and becoming successful without actually learning how to manage anything.

37, 38 next year. Works in retail, and never promoted lol. Never finished college. Lived with parents until I was close to 30, but they left me alone thankfully. Lol I can keep going. But I can relate.

Idk.
I pay bills. 🤔 I pay for pet food and wild bird food. $100+ for like two bags of groceries. And barely got much to really spend on myself most weeks 😅😅 yay responsibly

36, never had a "proper" job, still live with my parents (paying rent to them thanks to my parents helping me qualify for disability), problem with disability is that they yell at me if I have over $2k in "assets", so if I don't have anything to spend money on I have to give it away or I lose it.

Oh yeah, and I don't even have a proper driver's license, my ID is specifically a NON driver's license. But to be honest with how frequently OTHER people lack basic driving skills when I'm riding around with my parents, I'm not sure I want one. Seems like a great way to end up hospitalized.

That’s easy. You buy a policy and pay an uncomfortable amount of money into it each month, then when you need it, they make you pay even more money while refusing to pay for the stuff that they said they would cover.

I can relate.
My problem is similar.
While I know how to be an adult, putting it into practice is hard.
It doesn't help that life throws obstacles in my way that makes it anywhere from difficult to impossible to complete all sorts of adulthood tasks.
Truly, people have adult life way too hard.

I Had a rough life and wasn't taught how to do many basic adult things. Now I'm trying to play catch up these last few years and it sucks. I always feel lesser then my friends, many of who have gone on to finish college or get good jobs while I'm stuck working retail because I have no real talent...
